52,069 records gathered and cited

Parliament's day, in plain words.

An Order Paper is the formal agenda of the House — the bills, motions, questions and consultations Parliament will actually consider. We gather that list and everything around it from official sources every night, cite each item to the line, and rewrite it in plain English and French. The full record is free for every citizen: no account, no tracking, no paywall on public data.

The file behind the floor: Bill C-54's second-reading week
The government moved second reading of C-54, the Budget Implementation Act, 2026, No. 1, on Monday, with debate scheduled over four sittings ending Thursday (record: ourcommons.ca — Notice Paper, 2026-06-15, Government Orders). One amendment stands on notice from the official opposition (record: ourcommons.ca — Order Paper, 2026-06-17, Amendments). No committee referral has been moved. RECORD — verbatim, cited
Plain reading: if the schedule holds, C-54 clears second reading this week and referral to the finance committee follows — the clause-window for your file likely opens in early July. ANECDOTAL — model-council reading, not an official statement

RECORD = verbatim from the official source, cited to the line · ANECDOTAL = plain-language reading by the model council, labelled as such. That is the difference between a summary and a receipt.

The free tier

Walk in. Give us nothing.

The record is public property — reading it should cost nothing, know nothing, and ask nothing. That is the whole free tier, on purpose.

The zero-data pledge

Legally yours, not ours
✓We collect no personal data. You can read everything right now and we will know nothing about you — no cookies wall, no consent popup, ever.
✓Email is the only datum — and only if you want alerts or a configured lens. One address, used to verify you and deliver what you asked for, nothing else.
✓Zero harvest. No tracking pixels, no ad identifiers, no behaviour profiles, no data for sale. Attention is not our inventory.
✓Zero-access encryption. What you build on top of the record — watchlists, briefings, notes — is encrypted with keys only you hold. We store ciphertext we cannot read.

The encryption architecture in one paragraph: the record itself is public data that needs no protection, so it sits in the open, cited and free; everything private that you build on top of it — a watchlist, a briefing, a saved search — is encrypted on your device with a key only you hold, so what reaches our servers is unreadable text, and no employee, subpoena or breach can turn it into your agenda. The one email you give is handled as access-verification only, never as a marketing profile — that is deliberate, and it is the reason the free tier can make a promise no incumbent can copy: they monetize your agenda; we can't see it to try.

How zero-access works — the short version
  • The email is the one datum — honest flag: "no data given" plus email confirmation means the email is the one datum. It verifies you via a magic link and delivers the alerts you ask for (CASL-compliant, unsubscribe anytime). It is not a profile seed.
  • Client-side encryption — keys never leave your device; servers store ciphertext. No account dashboard can show us what you watch.
  • Provenance ledger — every alert, report and export carries a sha256 receipt; corrections append, they never rewrite history.
  • Cookieless analytics only — aggregate counts of public pages, never fingerprints, never cross-site tracking.
  • The questionnaire never profiles — it configures the lens you see (see step 2 below) and is discarded as a profile the moment your view is set.

Onboarding — what your email actually buys

Three steps. None of them sell you anything.

Confirmation is not a funnel into a profile — it is a door into a record that configures itself to the work you do, then gets out of your way.

Confirm

You give one datum: an email.

A magic link proves you're you — no password to invent, no profile to fill, no consent checkbox maze. The email verifies access; it never seeds a marketing file.

Configure — FPIC relevance

A questionnaire about community standing & consultation context.

Two questions determine whether your view wears the FPIC / duty-to-consult lens — the relationship of your work to Indigenous consultation and to the communities it touches. Answers pick the lens; nobody reads them as data about you, and skipping is a first-class choice.

Walk in

Zero-access, explained in plain language — then the record opens.

52,069 cited items, both official languages, searchable, free. Duty-to-consult deadlines and FPIC flags where they apply, alerts only if you ask. No paywall on public data — ever.

Order Paper PRO

A few proprietary tools on the verified Canadian record.

The record stays free, funded by one ad at the top of the page. PRO is $9 a month for the tools built on top of it: synthesis, the map, alerts and exports. PRO adds power over the record, never access to it.

Synthesis — the anchor model council · cross-checked · EN/FR

Synthesis reads every official source each night and writes a cited brief of the parliamentary and regulatory day: what moved, what it changes, and the line it came from. Every sentence carries a RECORD or ANECDOTAL label and a sha256 receipt.

  • Synthesis — the cited daily brief, EN/FR, in your inbox by 6:30 a.m. ET
  • Every claim cited to the line, with a sha256 receipt
  • Corrections append; the historical record is never rewritten
  • RECORD / ANECDOTAL labels on every sentence

Straight answers

Questions you'd actually ask

What is an Order Paper?

Parliament's formal daily agenda — the list of motions, bills, questions and other business the House will actually consider, tabled by the government each sitting day. We publish that agenda and everything around it — Gazette notices, consultations, draws, grants — cited to the line, for every citizen.

Why is the product named after the thing it covers?

Because the name is the promise: authority — this is the real agenda, straight from the source; plain language — read it like a newspaper, not a statute; a Canadian term — ours, from our Parliament to every one of us. The product is the record, made readable.

What stays free forever?

The record itself — every item, fully cited, in both official languages, with search, a daily digest and free alerts on any single item. PRO adds alerts at scale, briefings, analysis and exports; it never gates public data. "PRO gates power, never access" is a design rule, not a tagline.

Why $9 a month?

Government-relations suites that do a fraction of this run into the thousands of dollars per seat — and US giants charge US$5,000–25,000 a year for Congress-first products with thin or no Canada coverage. We price against the public record's real cost: enough to keep the citizen tier free and the company Canadian, at roughly 1/25th of the Bloomberg-class price.

Is the founding offer real?

Yes. The first 1,000 to confirm keep 50% off PRO for life — applied at launch, no expiry, transferable to seats within one firm. If you confirm an email on this page, you're in line.

What does "zero-access" mean, honestly?

It means the private things you build on top of a public record — watchlists, briefings, notes — are encrypted with keys only you hold. We cannot read your agenda, so we cannot monetize it, lose it in a breach, or hand it to a subpoena in readable form. The one caveat, stated plainly: the confirmation email is a datum — access-verification only, never a marketing profile. That is the whole trade, and it's on this page so nobody can call it fine print.
